Introducing Slap [unmodified]

Coming Up August 7th:

Slap [unmodified] is a machine whose default setting combines effervescent synthesizers with sobering detail.

It's also the new guise of Canadian producer Thomas Sinclair, who some of you may remember from last year's Musical Chairs album as half of electro-pop duo Black Turtleneck with Solvent.

The saturated smokestacks on the cover of Auto [repeat] foreshadow the perpetual rhythm of a factory you'll find inside; offering a new daily grind and a habit that's hard to break. Finally, a record that pushes buttons.

Limited edition 7" vinyl + bonus CD.

Tracklisting:
A1. Auto-repeat (version 2)
B1. First Choice, Second Guess
B2. Effexor Redux
Bonus CD contains a digital version of the vinyl, plus 2 extra tracks:

Omnipresent (2nd edit)
More (less)

Now available to pre-order at the Architecture of Sound website.

Kids on TV remix out right now:

Mixing Business with Pleasure is the new album by queer-punk-electro-house group Kids on TV. If the hyped-up tempos and lyrics about gay sex don't already make your body flush, there also happens to be a remix on it by Thomas Sinclair of Slap [unmodified].
In Every Dreanhome A Heartache is a remix of a cover of a Roxy Music classic, and dancing to it will make you hotter than Bryan Ferry. Literally, of course.

When submitted to the online database Discogs, a moderator commented that Sinclair's remix is "Depeche Mode's Behind The Wheel + a blow-up doll". It's unclear whether that was meant as praise or ridicule, but at least someone got it right.

Available now from Blocks Recording Club in Canada and Chicks on Speed Records in the rest of the world.
